My concept revolves specifically around hyper femininity in
queer people, and drawing on implications of queer semiotics as a language within the community, and communicating social justice messages and imagery of icons.
Originating from my personal experience in the queer space and the impact that clothes can have on expression of identity, I will be drawing from contemporary and modern examples of the queer experience, through art, music, and icons.
Inspired by queer history icons such as Marsha P Johnson, the queer scene, and the pride riots, voluminous shapes with floral accents, and prints inspired by iconic photography

My Social Construct collection challenges traditional gender norms with modern and fluid design.
